Printable paper: frequently asked questions
What is the difference between A4 and US Letter paper?
A4 measures 210 × 297 mm and is the standard in most of the world. US Letter is 8.5 × 11 inches (216 × 279 mm), slightly wider and shorter, and is used in the US, Canada and parts of Latin America. Pick the size that matches the paper in your printer.
Why doesn’t my printed grid measure exactly right?
The print dialog is probably scaling the page. Set the scale to 100% or “Actual size” instead of “Fit to page”, and make sure the paper size in the dialog matches the PDF.
Can I print these templates at a copy shop?
Yes. Download the PDF, bring it on a USB stick or email it to the shop, and ask for it to be printed at 100% scale on the matching paper size.
